If you’re ready for Toyota’s best-known hybrid to reach new heights, then you’re ready for the 2021 Toyota Prius Prime. With no-gas EV mode and a 640-mile driving range, the Prius Prime is ready to serve car buyers the high-quality fuel-efficient vehicle they deserve.

One of the upgrades to the Prius Prime will be the safety package. Instead of Toyota Safety Sense-P, the 2021 Prius Prime will offer Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 with automatic braking, automatic high beam, lane tracing assist, road sign assist, pre-collision systems with bicyclist and pedestrian detection, full-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, and lane departure alert with steering assist. The LE grade will also add Andriod Auto compatibility.

According to car dealers, the new Prius Prime has all the features that car buyers want in a hybrid along with 25 miles of EV driving range. The LE grade has an estimated 55 mpg in the city, 53 mpg on the highway, and 54 mpg combined. Drivers can rejoice in the Prime’s ability to keep going while many EVs would need to be recharged.

The 2021 Prius Prime optimizes electric power in the EV Auto Mode and only engages the gas engine when necessary. Manufacturers note that the new Prius Prime is expected to reach astounding speeds on battery power: up to 84 mph, in fact. This vehicle also has incredible suspension tuning that makes turning corners a breeze.

One of the best things about this plug-in hybrid is that car buyers do not need special equipment to charge it. With Toyota’s supplied cable, the 2021 Prius Prime can effectively charge in five and a half hours with a standard outlet. The other benefit to the Prius Prime is that it can be driven as long as you have gas in the tank. So, if you forget to charge it one night, then you will still be good to go in the morning.

As far as design elements go, the 2021 Prius Prime has the liftback style that we know and love along with rear and front fascias, lighting systems, and bumpers. The EV design includes LED headlights with an ultra-low profile and an acrylic grille. Car buyers are also loving the “dual wave” rear window that mixes aerodynamics with style. The available paint colors include Titanium Glow, Classic Silver Metallic, Midnight Black Metallic, Magnetic Gray Metallic, and Blue Magnetism. For premium grades, Wind Chill Pearl and Supersonic Red are eye-catching additions.

As far as technology goes, the 2021 Prius Prime LE comes with Toyota Premium Audio through a 7-inch high-resolution touch-screen that has split-screen capabilities and includes AM/FM radio, Integrated Navigation, six speakers, advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth streaming, hands-free phone capability, and a backup camera.

The Prius Prime has a 36 month long (or 36,000 miles) warranty that applies to basic components, other than wear and tear. The battery has a warranty for 10 years or 150,000 miles that transfers to new owners in the case of resale. Hybrid elements are also covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles. As with most Toyota vehicles, the Prius Prime comes with Toyota Care that covers factory-scheduled maintenance for up to two ears or 25,000 miles. The Prius Prime also offers 24-hour roadside assistance for 3 years after purchase.
