Nowadays, it is very common at Orange auto sales to find customers who make fuel economy a priority. That is why so many people are attracted to the 2017 Toyota Prius. It delivers the best mileage of any car out there, has great utility, and provides a comfortable and quiet ride.

However, the 2017 Prius has more to love than saving you a fortune at the gas pump and keeping CO2 emissions down. When you get down to the nuts and bolts of it all, the 2017 Toyota Prius is a practical hatchback with more cargo room than your quintessential hybrid sedan. Another benefit is that the vehicle is quieter than the average compact hatchback, producing very little road and engine noise when you are driving around town. Also, the car includes technology like navigation, audio, and phone interfaces that are polished, upscale and straightforward to use.

The 2017 Toyota Prius is a four-door hatchback that can effortlessly seat five passengers. It's available in seven trim levels: One, Two, Two Eco, Three, Three Touring, Four, and Four Touring.

The sales reps at Orange County auto sales explain that the 2017 Toyota Prius is equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and a pair of electric motors and generators. This blend of power is transmitted through an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (CVT) that produces 121 horsepower to the front wheels. When the driver uses light to moderate braking, it transforms one of the electric motors into a generator to make sure the hybrid battery constantly remains juiced up.

When it comes to speed, the Prius Three is recorded to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.8 seconds. This makes it a few seconds faster than the last-generation Prius. When it comes to fuel economy, the Prius is the reigning champion. It has an EPA fuel economy rating of 52 mpg combined, 54 mpg in the city, and 50 mpg on the highway.

The Prius One and Two are similarly equipped and have good standard features such as 15-inch wheels, automatic LED headlights, LED running lights and taillights, heated mirrors, keyless entry for the driver door, automatic climate control, dual 4.2-inch driver information screens, adaptive cruise control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, a 6.1-inch touchscreen display, a rearview camera, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, voice recognition with Siri Eyes Free, and a six-speaker audio system with a USB port, an auxiliary audio jack, and a CD player. Furthermore, all 2017 Prius trims at Orange auto sales come standard with forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning and intervention, and automatic high beams.

The Prius Two Eco is more efficient and comes with ultralow-rolling resistance tires, a lighter lithium-ion hybrid battery, an inflation kit instead of a spare tire, and illuminated keyless entry.

The Prius Three has a wireless phone charging pad and the Toyota Entune premium infotainment system with a 7-inch touchscreen, navigation, satellite radio, HD radio, and access to apps such as Pandora, iHeartRadio, OpenTable and Yelp when paired with a smartphone running the Entune app.

If you manage to find a Prius Four at Orange auto sales, you will find that it is equipped with a blind-spot monitoring system, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic wipers, simulated leather upholstery with contrasting white stitching, heated front seats, a power driver seat with adjustable lumbar, seatback storage pockets and a rear cargo cover.

The standard equipment on the Three Touring or Four Touring consists of everything from the matching Three or Four plus 17-inch alloy wheels, foglights, LED clearance lights, unique rear bumper styling, and imitation-leather upholstery with contrasting blue stitching.

If you want more tech features, the Prius Three and Four can be upgraded with the Advanced Technology package, which includes a sunroof and a head-up display. Last but not least, the Prius Four and Four Touring can be decked out with the Premium Convenience package, which includes a 10 speaker JBL audio system, a self-parking system, and Safety Connect emergency services.

The interior of the 2017 Prius has a traditional layout and is made of high-quality materials. There is a stout shifter with a separate Park button for selecting forward, reverse, and neutral. Also, there is a speedometer and gauge display that is situated high in the center of the dashboard. Also, you can go for the optional head-up display that shows the most important information right in front of the driver.

Even if you opt for the lower trim levels, you will enjoy the unique seat fabric and imitation leather. The 7-inch touchscreen reacts quickly to instructions and, even though there isn’t Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you can still hook up your smartphone to the Entune app or use the USB or Bluetooth audio connections.

The 2017 Prius has a cargo space of 24.6 feet, which is significantly more room than the predecessor Prius. The Prius One, Two Eco, and Prius Four have even more chambered trunk space with 27.4 cubic feet of space. Since there is no spare tire, it allows for a lower load floor.

When it comes to safety, the 2017 Toyota Prius is equipped with antilock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, a driver knee airbag, and a passenger seat cushion airbag. Furthermore, it includes a rearview camera forward collision warning, forward collision mitigation with automatic braking, and lane departure warning and intervention. If you opt for the Prius Four or Four Touring, you get blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert as a standard feature.

It is difficult to beat the amazing fuel economy and excellent ride quality that the 2017 Prius provides. Also, don’t forget all that cargo space just waiting to be used! Ultimately, you can’t go wrong with a Toyota Prius. It offers so many advantages for a vehicle of its class.
