The Toyota Sequoia has been a consistently strong, reliable SUV for car buyers with its four-wheel independent suspension, optimal ground clearance, and 381 horsepower 5.7-liter i-FORCE V8 engine. The Orange County used cars dealership has seen how this excellent foundation has further achieved greatness with Toyota Racing Development (TRD) performance parts and engineering practices. The Sequoia TRD Pro boosts its chassis with Fox aluminum-bodied internal bypass shocks and Multi-Mode four-wheel drive.

Customers browsing new and used cars for sale in Orange County may notice that the 2020 Sequoia has an advanced multimedia system with Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

The Sequoia is the newest model to be recruited into Toyota’s TRD Pro trim level. The Toyota Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner have already joined the ranks of this excellent upgrade. Orange County dealers of new and used cars for sale have seen the TRD Pro trim enter the market in 2014, stemming from the off-road racing culture in Toyota’s long line of automobile history. The TRD Pro trim is made for drivers who want a vehicle that can do more than what’s expected.

The 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro offers eight-passenger seating with a spacious cabin, digital connectivity, phenomenal off-road features, and towing capacities, all wrapped up in a stylish and powerful body. The 2020 Sequoia comes in SR5, TRD Sport, Limited, and Platinum trims as well with a choice of two-wheel drive or Multi-Mode four-wheel drive.

Three rows of seats provide optimal space for all eight passengers and independent rear suspension creates a ride with less road bump distractions. The second row allows for 40.9 inches of legroom while the third row maintains 35.1 inches of legroom with the innovative suspension design. Even though this vehicle is large and spacious on the inside, it drives as if it is smaller and more agile with a smooth 38.1 foot turning diameter.

The 2020 Sequoia is designed to allow the third-row seats to fold flat in order to achieve 66.6 cubic feet of cargo space, which is ample room for storing gear for family camping trips. The second-row seats can also fold, creating 120.1 cubic feet for even more storage room. The 2020 model is proven to hold items that are 11 feet long within a certain weight spectrum. The trunk liftgate provides a separate power window with auto jam protection and up/down controls.

Toyota’s Safety Sense P package comes standard on every Sequoia model, which includes the Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection and Automatic Braking, Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Automatic High Beams. All Sequoia trims also include Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert and integrated airbag systems.

The TRD Pro offers a seven-passenger seat design with middle-row captain’s chairs and a three-seat third row with 60/40 split backs that can recline. The Sequoia TRD Pro has a stunning grille with LED headlights, Rigid Industries LED fog lights, and sports 18 x 8 inch black BBS forged aluminum wheels.

The 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro has many beautiful exterior color options including Army Green (exclusive to the TRD Pro trim), Super White, Midnight Black Metallic, and Magnetic Gray Metallic. Each comes with TRD Pro front door badging. Additionally, the TRD Pro package includes a TRD front skid plate to cover the front suspension and oil pan for off-road driving. Cast aluminum running boards and a roof rack further improve the efficiency and style of the vehicle.

Fox provides the off-road suspension elements that make the Sequoia TRD Pro even better at performance where it counts. The 2020 model has aluminum-bodied internal bypass shocks to carry shock fluid while avoiding the piston. The Sequoia TRD Pro has 2.5-inch Fox front shocks with 7 compression zones and 2 rebound zones. In the rear, the 2020 Sequoia TRD Pro uses 20inch-diameter Fox piggyback monotube shocks that operate with bottom-out-control methods. This system enhances damping force for uneven roads.

The Sequoia TRD Pro has black leather-trimmed seats with red contrast stitching with comfortable headrests and all-weather floor mats. The technological features include Premium Audio with Dynamic Navigation and JBL, Clari-Fi system with 14 speakers, Android Auto, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, AM/FM/HD Radio, SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth hands-free phone capability, and music streaming. The model comes standard with Safety Connect and Remote Connect for a 1-year trial each as well as Service Connect for a 10-year trial.

The DOHC 5.7-liter i-FORCE V8 powers every 2020 Sequoia model with 381 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 401 pound-feet of torque at 3,600 rpm. The vehicle maintains optimal torque with Dual independent Variable Valve Timing with intelligence and an Acoustic Control Induction System.

The V8 engine harnesses 90% of peak torque at 2,200 rpm, which allows the Sequoia to maintain its towing capabilities. The TRD Pro trim can haul 7,100 pounds and includes an integrated tow hitch, driver-selectable Tow/Haul transmission mode, and Trailer Sway Control with Vehicle Stability Control to avoid unwanted trailer movement.

The 2020 Sequoia offers a peaceful and spacious cabin with reduced outside noise and dynamic interior features to promote a relaxing ride for all passengers. The Limited trim offers side-view mirrors that are power-retractable, auto-dimming, and have built-in turn-signal lamps. The Platinum trim has additional puddle lamps, position memory, and reverse-linked tilt functions.

With 40/20/40 split second-row seats and seat-slide adjustments, the Sequoia can achieve a wide array of interior positions. Middle rows are optimized to fold flat and the vehicle has a one-touch easy-slide feature to allow passengers to load themselves into the last row.

The third row has a 60/40 split with reclining capabilities. It can fully fold flat with the power tilting and folding technology. Also, the rear liftgate includes a power rear window with up-down control, jam protection, and defogger features. Adult passengers can comfortably fit in the last row, unlike some third-row SUVs.

The 2020 Sequoia features the Toyota Safety Sense P package for every trim with Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Automatic High Beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. This model also features Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.

Finally, this vehicle is equipped with the STAR Safety System that optimizes driver and passenger safety with Vehicle Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution), Brake Assist, Traction Control, and Smart Stop Technology brake override. On four-wheel-drive vehicles, A-TRAC (Active-Traction Control) replaces TRAC for more advanced performance.
